I am an artist, designer and engraver, working from my rural studio at the Hugo Burge Foundation in the Scottish Borders. I am interested in the human relationship with nature, exploring through drawing and making our connections with plant and animal life and the cyclical processes of the natural world. Training initially as a painter-printmaker at DJCAD I later studied the art of hand engraving on metal with Dr Malcolm Appleby MBE, then chasing and silversmithing with Rod Kelly MA (RCA). Drawing is the foundation of my practice, working from observational studies into precious metalwork and works on paper.
