Glass sculpture
13 x 30 x 15 cm
2023
I use glass and other materials, including natural phenomena in a poetic, metaphoric way as a gesture of empathy towards our transient and vulnerable existence. I see my work as a physical manifestation of a growing collective spiritual entropy, a fleetingness and fragmentation and the need to find a constant in a collapsing world. I create objects, sculptures and installations that aim to materialise the spiritual space between the concrete and the perceiver, a sort of poetic space that often holds a suggestive and personal narrative but aims to give a collective universal experience of the phenomena of existing itself. I deeply relate to the idea of making art as an act of appreciation, of recognising beauty in the mundane.
