My artistic practice stems from the need to connect with nature through the harshest urban landscape. I do not seek nature as a visible element, but as a latent presence that emerges through the white noise generated by structures, surfaces, and graffiti.
Patient observation allows the apparent aggressiveness of these spaces to dissolve into a continuous perceptual field. Painting functions as a process of distillation, in which visual excess is transformed into an essential experience. Truth does not precede the work, but emerges through the act of making, when sustained looking is translated into concrete decisions during the painting process.
