I am a practice-based researcher and interdisciplinary artist, currently a PhD candidate at Norwich University of the Arts. My work explores the lives of women in Dundee's jute mills between 1900-1960, examining how gender, class, and colonial forces shaped their experiences. Drawing on my own family history, I use experimental making to uncover overlooked stories. Working with factory records and archives, I create work that actively brings these women's experiences into the present. I explore how identity is shaped by inherited class experience, giving voice to suppressed working-class histories and allowing them to influence contemporary understandings of class and colonialism.
