Jacob creates works that translate information, data and structures into enduring material form. Using ceramics, concrete and stone his practice investigates how systems - political, scientific and social - shape collective identity. Often working at monumental scale, he treats making as a slow, exacting process that foregrounds material presence and labour. By fusing art and research, the work occupies a space between experience and analysis, where abstraction becomes a way of describing the paradoxes of our lived experiences, something science struggles to articulate.
