My practice explores how patience, attention and sustained labour shape understanding. Through drawing, painting and constructed surfaces, the work emerges from slow, repetitive processes informed by both internal reflection and external conditions. Meaning is not imposed but revealed through making and careful observation. Shifts in light, shadow and viewpoint extend the work beyond its surface, inviting the viewer to look slowly and attentively. Influenced by Ruskin’s emphasis on truth and observation, the work considers how perception forms through time, care and engagement.
