Hand thrown porcelain
10 x 21 x 21 cm
2024
I throw porcelain pots for daily use. Through this work I explore slow but constant change over time- a process that echoes the beaches of my childhood, where there was perpetual, often imperceptible, movement in the landscape. The determined use of one material, a single glaze, a deliberately restricted vocabulary of form and repetition throwing allow for subtle variations that slowly evolve and are constantly distilled. The function and the form of my pots are inextricably bound- complementing and completing each other. I hope that my pots will make ordinary tasks special and bring beauty and pleasure to the everyday.
