Sterling silver, oxidised.

I make small wearable objects, primarily out of sterling silver, using traditional metalworking practices such as forging and raising, along with other fabrication techniques.
My work process tends to be material driven and experimental, and the decision-making is often unconscious. For me, form and function follow the making, rather than the reverse.
I am, however, always seeking a sense of tension and vitality within the forms as well as in the relationships of elements to one another.
I often think in terms of the duality of a given principle or action; about notions of balance, protection, containment, and sense of belonging.
