In my practice, I seek to evoke the spirit of the old masters and build on pictorialism’s pursuit of photography as more than documentation. Working in black and white, I combine in-camera techniques with digital post-production to realise pictorialism in a contemporary context. My work often centres on melancholic states of being: the heartbroken figure, the romanticism of nature, and elusive memories that lack clarity. Through these themes, I aim to translate intangible feelings into images, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and find personal resonance.
